MikroTik Certified Traffic Control Engineer
1.5 Day Class
This class is intended for both the networking newcomer as well as the experienced network admin. By the end of the class, the student should be able to competently handle most common traffic control scenarios, be able to manage QoS, and manage MikroTik firewalls. Most topics are hands on to help you both understand the topics and retain the knowledge.
Network engineers and technicians who deploy or support networks of any size.
MTCNA is Required to be able to take the test. However, its not required to participate in class.
Students must have a strong understanding basic networking concepts such as TCP/ IP, subnetting, networking mediums and interfaces, and networking topologies. While this is the bare minimum, a Network+ level of knowledge or higher will allow the student to get the most out of this class.
Go beyond what you learned in the MTCNA class and learn how to use MikroTik routers for effective traffic control. This intensive class will give the QoS and firewalling foundation to build effective networks.

What to expect during class:
The core material of the class will start at 9am each day and last until approximately 5pm; some classes run shortly or longer depending on the students. After dinner, there is a another optional 2 hour block of time, which is set aside for additional training. This can be used to further reinforce the core class material that was learned during the day, complete more labs, or the time can be used to take Optional Modules. The Optional Modules are pre-prepared lessons on topics that have been frequently requested, but that does not relate directly to the certification that is being offered. Students choose which Optional Modules to take depending on the remaining time available after the core material has been fully covered. Not all all Optional Modules will be offered for each class. MetaROUTER/ KVM – This module will teach students how to build virtualized routers within their own physical router. Multiple real world use examples will be explored.
IPSEC – This module is anyone wanting to learn how configure IPSEC tunnels. How to deploy both site to site and host to gateway tunnels will be explored.
The Dude – Although, The Dude has now been integrated in most of the classes, anyone who would like to take a deeper look at The Dude and explore the advanced features will benefit from this module.

Class will begin each day at 8:30am and run to approximately 5pm. Some days will run over. We will be done on Tuesday by 5pm. The meeting room is downstairs, adjacent to the breakfast area.
What every student needs to bring to class:
- A laptop with a working Ethernet port that can use Winbox
- 2 Ethernet Cables
Cost & Refund Policy:
All sales are final, refunds will not be issued unless a class has to be canceled. However, if there is a legitimate reason a student cannot attend a class of a given date, they will receive a voucher for another class of equal value.
